Our spring semester will follow a similar schedule to the winter.

Mondays:

Rise & Draw 9:30 - Noon

Directed Studies 1:30 - 4

Portrait 6:30 -9pm

Tuesdays:

Painting studio 6:30 - 9pm

Wednesdays:

Short pose 6:30 - 9pm

Thursdays:

Long(er) Pose 6:30 -9pm

Fridays:

Figure )instructed short pose) 9:30 - noon

My compliments go out to all of you. Insofar, you have been doing great. You may not realize it yourself as it's hard to see when your inner voice is telling you otherwise.

I'm gleaming with pride as I see the growth at how far you have come. There has been a noticeable levelling up in skill and quality by those who are dedicating their time to art making.

At times, you may not "feel" you are getting any better but I'm here to let you know you are! It's wonderful to see the while studio glowing with success. I'm sure it's intimidating to join a session when there are so many good artist with unique styles surrounding them.

Our work is a roller coaster, but having the small goal of 1% improvement is all you need as over time it'll be like compounding interest.

This investment of time, materials etc. is like the gas you put in the car to get here. You need to burn through it to get to your destination. The cost is part of the trip to arrive to the place you are headed.

Art is more a marathon than a sprint. Keep going with it. In no time, you'll look back and finally believe you deserve my compliments.
