This exciting 1-Day Masterclass is for you, the artist who is serious about learning
new concepts that will take your personal painting to a new level of
understanding.
 
Are you frustrated with your paintings looking stiff and lifeless?
 
Would you like to experience the “joy” of putting brush marks on canvas ...
without labouring over drawing and measuring?
 
Join us as we explore and simplify the complexities of painting fabric and
drapery using a photo of a beautiful model. You will be inspired to create the
paintings you thought were beyond your reach.
 
We will touch on all the ‘simple ideas’ that Bobbi emphasizes in her teaching to
build a strong, beautiful painting; ideas that will help take the mystery out of
painting and add the magic you are seeking, no matter the genre.
Ideas that will take your work to the next level of understanding.
In the morning of this Masterclass, Bobbi will begin with an oil painting
demonstration of a draped figure, from a photo (supplied).
 
Artists will be free to ask questions throughout, as Bobbi explains her process.
In the afternoon, artists will paint their own painting, using the ideas and
concepts learned from the morning’s demonstration. There will be plenty of hands-on guidance throughout.
 
*Note: the emphasis of this Masterclass is NOT about finishing a
painting. However, it is about simplifying your subject and
exploring possibilities and the abstract beauty of paint.
