There is still some time left for summer things but some of y'all are chomping at the bit to get going again. We officially reopen the studio again after the Labor day long weekend.
Bunny has been enjoying some down time by taking a month long "break" off social media, so while it seems quiet things are moving along in the background. Busy painting murals, mentoring the youth of the Stampede poster competition, teaching private classes, exhibiting artwork, attending the watercolour festival, judging the Canada Paints plein air competition with two Dougs, camping, gardening and more....
We ran our inaugural residency program and it went better than expected. Absolutely loved the chaos and uncertainly of just diving right in, no fear with this group. It is so inspiring to help creators along the journey to build their body of work by setting up shop in one intense week of lack of sleep. We will definitely offer more opportunities like this going forward.
Insofar, It's been a jam packed summer and the studio, a lot of the private students are still coming in for classes. The studio is in a state of chaos and disrepair, hoping to squeeze out a bit more before Autumn hits so standby it'll be cold outside again before we realize it. Looking forward to the return of the community to catch up and go forward.

Portrait stuff:
The autumn has an exciting start for all things portrait, from drop in sessions to our visiting artist Oliver Sin. Our very own hard working artist Keegan Karlsen has been coerced by Bunny to take over the portrait class by offering his unique skillset and expertise in a new portrait class that will be held Thursday nights 6:30 -9pm and early adopters will $ave $50.
Portrait drop in Monday nights start up again Sept 14th 6:30 - 9:30
Oliver Sin is visiting artist workshop September 18 - 20th
Portrait Drawing class with Keegan Karlsen will be Thursday evenings 6:30 -9
cSPACE will be having a portrait exhibition opportunity titled "faces forward" in the new year and I encourage you all to apply by Sept. 26th. More info below.
CreativiTEA has booked thei event dates before 2027 and every workshop has the option to buy a ticket for any workshop or a FULL PASS until September 26th

Drop ins sessions and courses:
You can look forward to a return to the majority of sessions we had last semester. The rest of the programming will be live at the end of August, and bunny will return to the social media to keep you informed of what is coming up.
RISE & DRAW: Early morning drawers will be able to sip coffee and draw from life again SEPTEMBER 28TH onward.
Monday Directed studies and Tuesday studio painting courses will continue same times as last semester. Tuesday panting starts Sept 8th!'
Wednesday evening Short pose drop in will start up again in September 16th.

It hasn't been advertised but it is listed on the website and we have had sign ups already. We have booked Henry Yan for a 4 day figure workshop from life in June 2027, early birds get on it.
