Summer is upon us.
Stampede is near.
Camps are imminent and
we are closed for the Canada day long weekend.
Take note:
There are NO sessions on Monday July 3rd as the building is closed to the public.
We will resume the following day. We have Kayla modelling for us for drop in figure Tuesday short pose & Wednesday long pose 6:30 - 9:30.
We will have the final session of Rise & Draw and Directed Studies on July 10th.
Drop in figure will resume until July 19th, so get it in while you can, we will resume our regular programming in the fall when school is back in.

Speaking of camps....
The other night Quickdraw Animation Society was hosting their annual Animation Lockdown screening at CSPACE, which we supported by giving an in kind prize. After the screening there was a bunch of youth hanging out waiting around for me. Their was an awkward silence as I looked at them I felt I recognized them vaguely. They asked me if I recognized them and then it clicked instantly. I never forget a face!I said "Yes! you guys were CAMP, CAMP, CAMP". Turns out they were my students from a summer camp I instructed many years ago! Now all grown up, having finished post secondary, many of which were in creative fields an a few were room mates yet all remained friends. It really warms my heart that communities are built through the arts. I'm so proud to be part of everyones creative journeys. After all these years seeing their faces is invigorating and knowing my teachings have some positive effect is extremely validating. I'm so grateful and Thankful for the visit!
