On a more serious note

There is a lot of face to face time to spread the news, but this newsletter seems to be the best way to get the messages out to everyone collectively as not everyone uses the various social media platforms regularly.

Remembering and honouring the past and those who brought us the freedom we enjoy today.

Lets we forget.

Remembrance day is important at the studio. We honour those who fought in the war with a moment of silence. This day is a time for us to be solemn and honour the bravery of the sacrifice and service for those who fought for peace.

Being a lover of classical things and old times stuff, maybe born in the wrong generation. It seems that the wearing of poppy season is slowly being forgotten by younger generations. It is imperative we do not forget our past so that we may not be doomed to repeat it. Please take the time to reflect and put remembrance in your heart this Nov. 11th.

Classes Running and cancellations:

Bunny will be working in Banff painting murals for Metrographics at the Gondola at Sulphur Mountain Tuesdays to Sundays until the 21st. got to be flexible in the art as well these contracts help me to subsidize the rising cost of the studio and life.

Bunny will be back Mondays to host and teach the many sessions that occur on Mondays so nothing will change for most of the schedule.

Good news: RISE & DRAW, DIRECTED STUDIES, PRIVATE CLASSES AND LONG POSE WILL OCCUR AS SCHEDULED.

Tuesday night Drop in the next two weeks Ron has offered to open the studio to students who want to come in and use it to paint for free. Then a new round of Tuesday night Painting classes will begin again Nov. 25th for the Winter semester.

Wednesday and Thursdays drop ins will continue with Luke and Keegan as hosts for the sessions.

The only cancellation so far as drop ins are concerned is Friday Figure, there is No SESSION NOV. 14

Personal Note from Bunny:

It is with deep sorrow that I lost a close spiritual mentor and friend this past month. Gene was a strong influence on me and it came all of a sudden. In shock and disbelief I have avoided my grief falling into action to help his wife. The same weekend a friend committed suicide due to his mental health struggles.

I have used these events as motivation this month to run my Movember fundraising campaign again.  I have already donated $100 to put my $ where my mouth is but I ask for your charity for this good cause, you’ll get a tax receipt for your donation.  I will also be giving an original drawing to anyone who donates. You may choose from my many pads of newsprint originals. Thank you in advance, more campaign info and donations can be made here:

With thanks an gratitude,

Bunny aka Brian Batista
