Friday figure session was packed this week, It felt a little like a class reunion party. If this keeps up I’ll have to bring my table saw over a weekend and build a few more drawing horses. This surprise is very exciting to me, I’m ecstatic people are inspired to learn more anatomy and up to the challenge of improving their life drawing skills.
Believe me, I know this path isn’t always an easy one, I’m on it too.
Top tier art school:
Together we are improving the quality of our own and art and in Calgary in general. There is proof, this past week, April 22 we were recognized by making the “top art schools in Calgary” list. Though some of the info and dated and its the old website before redesign in 2020. It's still nice to be included.
Art adventure:
As many of you know I (Bunny) am l off to Paris for an art research reconnaissance mission to study and photo some artworks for the art history course I’m still in the process of building.
I need to fill the well of inspiration before the summer painting classes begin. I will eat croissants and bring back Parisian inspiration to the classroom. Things are starting soon, Painting classes are coming up. Be sure to sign up if you haven’t already as there are only so many spots and for the first day come prepared to make art.

*No Directed Studies until start date: May 5th.
April 28, 7 - 10 pm Long pose hosted by Reva with model Avery on the stand (next week we will be gifted with a rare opportunity to draw a 9 month pregnant model)
April 30, 6:30 - 9:30 Wednesday short pose hosted by Luke with model Hartley.
*There is NO Thursday night portrait this week April 24th but we will resume through May.
*No Friday figure session this week while Bunny is away.

SATURDAY SPECIAL SESSION
This can make a great early Mother’s Day gift!
Blooms and brushes was a hit last time so I requested we host it once more. This is an opportunity like no other, and I highly encourage you to take it as it is the only opportunity if it’s kind. I’m planning on flying back so I can attend this one of a kind course.
In it you will make a premium personalized bouquet of fresh cut flowers under the guidance of Designer Galina Hughes. You’ll get to take it home after which is an experience and spring display worth the price of the course.
After that you’ll learn to paint your colourful bouquet by Elena Bushan who is the best at painting plants in this province (says me).
This one off workshop is a rare opportunity to learn the tricks and techniques. It’s hands on, you can’t loose taking this course, you get two lessons a bouquet of fresh flowers and a painting class!
