This issue will have a lot of info about what is coming up in the studio and the student show as the autumn semester opens up. Be sure to read it otherwise you may miss out on upcoming opportunities.

Summer Camps:

Training the artists of the future. We had two weeks full of youth and a few dogs in the studio. Bunny takes educating the youth seriously but they don't take him very seriously. They must think he's one of them. He encouraged deeper learning about art while making stuff too. We covered everything from drawing, exquisite corpse, painting, still life, self portrait, sculpey and more. They were fun and chaotic as usual and they young ones have left their lasting mark on the painting sink backsplash.

ART SHOW INFO

We have already received more than 30 pieces and expect more for the final drop off time for artwork is Tuesday Sept. 2nd at 5 pm. We will begin hanging the show at that time and some volunteers will be helping out. Come see the show starting Sept. 3rd.

The exhibition will run until September 29th at the 4th floor gallery @cSPACE Marda Loop.

Participants are encouraged to invite guests and promote the show all month.

We will host a reception on Friday September 26th 5 - 9 pm.

For the reception we will have some catering tables out and anyone who wants to bring a treat for the table of snacks is welcome to contribute.

BACK TO THE STUDIO AUTUMN 2025:

Bunny's Book Club:

Though it got a little quiet in the summer that only offered more time to read. Bunny will be Away in London for the first part of September and our usual meeting date would fall when the exhibition opening is and the next would be on halloween so we will split the difference, so the next meeting will be in October 10, 5- 8pm.

Other opportunities:

Supermarché de l’Art, a new non-profit event we’re putting together for November 8 at cSPACE Marda Loop. It’s a one-day art market with about 40 local artists, designed to be fun, approachable, and affordable, every piece will be between $30–$300. We’ll take care of the packaging, display, and central checkout, so artists can just enjoy being there and meeting people.

We’re still taking applications until September 15

As many of you know Bunny is off to London to do some art gallery hopping and sketch booking in order to hide from his birthday on the 12th. When he comes back things will be rolling again with a renewed vigour and inspiration for the autumn semester so watch out and be sure you are ready to get going once more.

See you all in the fall.
