Painting the Figure in Oils instructed by Geoffrey Klepeis
6 classes: January 2021
* Price includes fees for live models
Join instructor Geoffrey Klepeis for afternoon oil painting from a live model. Using live demonstrations, as well as one-on-one instruction, students will gain understanding of the classical contemporary method, and bring the model to life on their canvas!
Students will learn about materials and painting application methods, as well as anatomy, light and classical theory to help create beautiful, living, classically graceful figures.
Students are welcome to keep their supplies simple, with a monochrome palette, or the Zorn palette (yellow ochre, ivory black, vermilion or Cad red light, and titanium white. However if you want to expand into a full palette the list is available. Bring what you have, and we will begin learning!
