Painting Figure Studies in Oils instructed by Geoffry Klepeis
6 classes: September 30 - Nov. 4, 2020
* Price includes fees for live models
This class instructs a classical method of creating studies of the nude figure in oils. Know as the "poster study", this term describes a small painting with simplified areas of flat color.
It is a powerful tool, designed to reinforce the students conceptual ability to create convincing volume, light effect and color. As well, improve their ability to mix and apply oil paint in an effective and vibrant way.
It is an ideal method to break down global effects of light, understand how to mix clear and accurate colors, and to serve as a guide for final paintings.
The class is 6 weeks long, and includes 2 class demonstrations by the instructor, and 4 classes of open painting with 1 on 1 instruction.
Oil medium and solvent will be supplied.
